My New Life at Newism
My University degree is about to finish in 4 weeks and I'm lucky enough to have a job for when I finish. The job is over at Newism as their Junior Web Designer and Developer. I've been working there for about a month now, and it's going great. The guys really know their stuff and I'm learning more than I ever did at Uni - no surprise there.
So this means I'm officially off the market, freelance-wise. Which is great as I get to actually socialise with people and go outside.
The guys from Newism have been around for a while. Leevi Graham is, dare I say it, famous in the ExpressionEngine community for the dozens of addons he has released. If you've used ExpressionEngine before, than you've probably used one of his plugins
Wayde, the Creative Director, has been working in the industry since the early days of tables, grunge and Flash splash pages. He's also quite good at Guitar Hero - a notable skill.
My first contribution to the community as part of Newism is going to be the release of my Dynamic CSS TextMate bundle - CSS-Extra - which should prove to be quite a hit. It's not just a bundle - it's a workflow, a framework and a completely new way to work with CSS. I'm writing the post as we speak.
So I urge people to go and check out their blog, it's got some goodness on it, and subscribe to their feed. I'll hopefully be posting there a fair bit.
