If you've haven't guessed it from the web address, the name of the page or the title, my name is Anthony Short. I'm a 20 year old designer from Newcastle, Australia. I'm a graphic designer who focuses mainly on the web - so I guess you'd call me a web designer.
I'm currently working for Newism here in Newcastle. They're a great bunch of people and I've learnt a lot more there then I ever did at University. It's run by two fellows - Leevi and Wayde.

I'm finishing my Bachelor of Visual Communication (Design) this year at the University of Newcastle. Design education is funny - you don't actually know how much you actually got out of it. I didn't learn anything about web design while I was there, or anything new about any of the design apps - but I did learn how to act like a designer and that's all we can really do as designers. Oh and I was introduced to Macs - so it was worth it.
